Viddy Awards Celebrate Excellence in Video Production

Industry awards, such as the Viddy Awards, exist to recognize the dedication, countless revisions, and pursuit of excellent storytelling for creative organizations. This past week brought us notification that we won three Viddy Awards for our video production work! 

This achievement represents more than accolades on our shelf—it serves as a testament to our team's commitment to pushing creative boundaries and serving our clients’ unique vision, day in and day out.

The Significance of Viddy Recognition

The Viddy Awards stand as one of the most respected honors in video and television production, judged exclusively by industry professionals who understand the nuances of video creation. Winning a single Viddy Award is noteworthy; securing three is something we are truly proud of. 

With only 50% of submissions winning an award, these awards validate our approach to storytelling, technical excellence, and our ability to create content that resonates deeply with audiences across industries.

Each award represents weeks, if not months, of collaboration amongst our team and clients -  from initial concept development through to final delivery. They recognize our capacity to transform client visions into compelling visual narratives that achieve measurable impact. 

The Award-Winning Projects

Our three winning projects are: 

  1. 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings
  2. Fly Like a Girl 
  3. The Best Part is the People 

Our first gold winning project is the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings. This powerful piece captures an extraordinary journey, as American Airlines transported nearly 70 World War II veterans back to Normandy for the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings. Our four-person production team documented nearly every moment of this historic trip - capturing thousands of hours of video and audio to preserve these heroes' stories and experience. 

The video follows the veterans as they return to the beaches where some of them once fought for freedom, witnessing their emotional reunions with the landscapes that shaped history. From intimate conversations aboard the aircraft to moments of reflection at memorial sites, our cameras captured the emotion and stories of America's greatest generation.

Through meticulous editing, we distilled countless hours of footage into a cohesive narrative that honors both the veterans' sacrifice and their journey to Normandy. This project represents the heroism of our WWII veterans, and serves as a profound reminder of the price of freedom.

Our second gold award recognizes our Fly Like a Girl video. The piece follows a young woman whose life trajectory changed when she discovered aviation career possibilities through one of the JetBlue Foundation’s initiatives. Our video captures her journey pursuing her dreams at a specialized aviation high school.

The project addresses the underrepresentation of women in aviation while showcasing how targeted outreach and education can fundamentally alter a young person's perspective on their future possibilities. Through intimate storytelling, we document not just one student's journey, but the broader impact of programs designed to inspire girls to enter traditionally male-dominated fields.

And last, but certainly not least - we received a platinum award for The Best Part is the People. This compelling corporate video showcases Teleflex's Core Value - that people are at the center of everything they do. Shot in Miami using a green screen, our production team captured over 20 interviews in a single filming day, creating a comprehensive library of content for multiple future video projects.

The power of this piece lies in its genuine approach to corporate messaging. Rather than scripted responses, we encouraged natural conversation, asking the same thoughtful question to each employee, allowing them to share their experiences organically. The recurring theme that emerged was unmistakable—time and again, interviewees emphasized the importance of the people.

The authentic responses we captured demonstrate how deeply the company's people-centered philosophy resonates with employees at every level. Through editing, we transformed hours of interviews into a cohesive narrative, showcasing Teleflex's commitment to keeping people at the center of everything they do.
